Elu was desperately unlucky to break a bone in his arm in pre-season training, meaning he couldn’t play until June. But this new signing showed his worth straight away with some big hitting and useful bowling – then he really burst onto the scene with a magnificent half century against Kenn, part of a match-winning partnership with Rudi. With a winter of nets and hopefully a full season next year, we should see plenty of runs and wickets from Elu.
